We're writing to let you know about some upcoming changes to the Yahoo consumer services you use. These services are the sites and apps that Yahoo provides to you, for example, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Search, Yahoo News, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Sports and all AOL services.
These changes go into effect on 6 May 2025.
Your service provider is changing As a result of an internal company reorganisation, the Yahoo company that provides Yahoo consumer services to you is changing from Yahoo EMEA Limited to Yahoo International Limited. This change doesn't affect any rights you have as a consumer.
Your experience won't be affected Nothing is changing about the way Yahoo consumer services work.
There are some differences in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Since Yahoo International Limited will be your provider for consumer services starting 6 May 2025, we want you to know what's different about the Terms and Privacy Policy compared to the previous provider. We've summarised the differences below.
Terms of Service: summary of differences - The language reflects that the provider of the consumer services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is Yahoo International Limited.
- It includes a description of the main characteristics of our email services, including a summary of the main contractual terms of our email services for users in the European Economic Area.
- It clarifies the consumer rights provisions regarding paid email services for users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
- It includes a mandatory legal guarantee for users in France.
- It includes a change to the Member Conduct section that restricts the use of ad-blocking technology.
Privacy Policy: summary of differences - The language reflects that the data controller is Yahoo International Limited, and that the Privacy Policy only covers the consumer services that Yahoo International Limited is the controller for.
- It includes details on how data is processed for analytics purposes.
- There are no other changes to how your personal information is processed.
You don't need to take any action, but we encourage you to use these links to review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the new service provider.
If you agree to the Terms of Service for Yahoo International Limited, which go into effect on 6 May 2025, you can simply continue to use our services. From that date, your use of your account will be subject to those Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree to the Terms of Service for Yahoo International Limited, you can choose to terminate your agreement with us by closing your account before 6 May 2025. You can find instructions for how to close your account in this help article.
